Frances Marie Albani

Frances Marie (Ozanich) Albani, 85, of Avalon, passed away on Saturday, August 30th, surrounded by her family. Born February 18, 1940, in Ronco, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Baker) Ozanich.

Frances was a breast cancer survivor and later bravely battled uterine cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Albani; her parents; her sisters Janet Dulik, Katherine Nativio, Dorothy Honsaker and Delores Lowller; and her in-laws Louis and Mildred (Renocks) Albani.

She is survived by her loving children: James (Tammy) Albani, Paul Albani, Teresa (Brian) Ashley, and Shari Strickler; grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Malenich, Anthony Lessa, Dominic Lessa, and Andre Vaughn III; and great-grandchildren Jameson and Agnes Malenich. She also leaves behind her sister Martha Ludrosky; in-laws Richard (Pat) Albani, Patty Rhodes, and Ann Bruzda; her lifelong friend Florence Arndt; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A graduate of German High School, Frances dedicated her life to her family and community. She was a former member of All Saints Christian Mothers and the Masontown Business & Professional Women's Club. While raising her children, she lovingly baked every birthday cake and soon became known for her beautiful creations. Her famous lady fingers were a treasured holiday tradition at Christmas and Easter.

Frances re-entered the workforce as a baker at All Saints Cafeteria, later serving as a secretary at Klondike Concrete, before owning and operating Sew Personal, her embroidery business. She retired as a claims processor from Highmark but never slowed down-working part-time at Fodi Jewelers and Pittsburgh Family Practice simply because she loved keeping active.

As much as she enjoyed staying busy, Frances also loved going to the casino and playing the slot machines. Some of her fondest memories were trips to Vegas with her friend, Flo, and other family members.

Above all, Frances will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her joy in cooking and baking, and the warmth she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 3PM-5PM in the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321 where a memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM.
