Beryl Celeste Veydt

Beryl Celeste Veydt, 96 years old of Scott Twp., died February 20, 2024 in her home.

 She was born August 7, 1927 in Hutchinson, Ks. daughter of the late Harold and Ruby Arndt Morse.

 She raised seven children and adored babies all her life. She was an outstanding cook and baker and enjoyed hiking, nature, reading, and building puzzles. She was a longtime member of Cecil Alliance Church, where she was actively involved in the ministries and administration of the church. In her teens, she was an usherette at the Fox Theatre in Hutchinson, now a National Historical Landmark.

 She was an Office Manager for James Coleman Heating and Air Conditioning and later for Kool Vent.

 Surviving are daughters Linda Kaintz of Allison Park; Billie (Jack) Carson of Gibsonia; Pamela (Jerry) Monaghan of Cecil; Nicole "Nicki" Veydt of Scott Twp.; Tracy (Michael) Safran of Verona; sons Eric Veydt of Robinson Twp.; and Michael (Shawna) Veydt of Peters Twp.; ten grandchildren Christie (Mike ) Hagerty, Ryan (Melissa) Kaintz, Kimberly (Brian) Greenleaf, Karyn (David) Ward, Christopher Monaghan, Adam (Megan) Veydt, Erin (Cody) Rogers, Matthew Veydt, and Jeremy and Benjamin Safran; 9 great grandchildren, and a sister, Beverly (Jim) Baker of Cumberland, Md.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William Louis Veydt, and brothers Gerald and Harold Morse.

 Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, and Saturday, Feb 24, in the Cecil Alliance Church, 3291 Reissing Road, from 10 am until service time at 11:00 with Pastor John Patterson officiating.

The family requests memorial donations in her name to the Cecil Alliance Church 3291 Reissing Road, McDonald, PA 15057.

 Interment will follow in Venice Cemetery.
