At Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, we believe that serving families well means never stopping our own growth.

This week, owner and licensed funeral director Katlyn Taueetia had the honor of attending the National Funeral Directors Association Professional Women’s Conference through a scholarship awarded by the Funeral Service Foundation; an opportunity that brought together women from across the country who are passionate about leadership, service, and the future of funeral care.

Out of 128 applicants nationwide, only 20 women were selected for this year’s scholarship program, making this opportunity both humbling and deeply meaningful.

For Katlyn, continuing education isn’t about collecting certificates or titles. It’s about bringing real value back home to the families we serve throughout Cecil Township, Canonsburg, South Fayette, and surrounding communities.

Bringing New Grief Resources Back to Our Community

One of the most impactful sessions focused on supporting families experiencing infant and child loss, one of the most heartbreaking realities any family can face.

These conversations were emotional, honest, and incredibly important.

At Coleman-Taylor, we believe every life matters, no matter how brief. By learning from some of the most experienced professionals in funeral service, we are continuing to expand the resources, guidance, and compassionate support available to local families navigating unimaginable loss.

If your family is facing grief, loss, or simply has questions about funeral planning, cremation options, memorial services, or aftercare support, we want you to know you are not alone.

A Local Funeral Home Committed to Growth

As a second-generation funeral director and owner of a woman-owned funeral home in Cecil, Pennsylvania, Katlyn is committed to modernizing funeral service while preserving the personal care families deserve.

From attending national conferences to bringing educational resources back to our hometown, every opportunity to learn ultimately benefits the families who place their trust in us.

Whether you need immediate funeral arrangements, are considering pre-planning, or simply want to understand your options, our team is here to help with honesty, transparency, and compassion.
