Katlyn Taueetia

Owner and Licensed Funeral Director

Katlyn Taueetia is a second-generation funeral director and the heart behind Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services in Cecil, Pennsylvania. A licensed cosmetologist since 2006, Katlyn has long been drawn to helping people feel seen, comforted, and cared for. She earned her associate’s degree in Business from Penn State University in 2009, and for years, has provided hair and cosmetic services to funeral homes, while working full time in a salon in Pittsburgh.

In 2019, Katlyn felt called to take a more active role in the funeral profession and returned to school to pursue a new path in mortuary science. She graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2021, completed her year-long internship under her father’s guidance, and became a licensed funeral director in 2022. In April of 2025, Katlyn officially purchased the business from her father—becoming the next proud steward of a multi-generational legacy of compassionate care.

As a participant in the National Funeral Directors Association’s Emerging Leaders Program, Katlyn is deeply committed to professional growth and community connection. She is actively expanding the business and focusing on what she believes matters most: personalized, meaningful services that reflect the unique life being honored and the family being served.

Whether through modern updates, memorial keepsakes, or creative celebrations of life, Katlyn is passionate about finding new ways to serve her town with empathy, excellence, and heart. When she’s not at the funeral home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, working out at T2 Crossfit or The Therapeutic Thump, and giving back to the Cecil community she proudly calls home.
