John Taylor

Licensed Funeral Director

John Taylor has proudly served the Cecil community and surrounding areas as a licensed funeral director since 1986. In 2007, he purchased the Eugene C. Coleman Funeral Home, establishing Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services and continuing a tradition of trusted, compassionate care.

In April 2025, John passed the torch to his daughter, Katlyn Taueetia, officially entrusting her with the next chapter of the family-owned funeral home. Though retired from ownership, John remains a steady and active presence—continuing to serve families with the same dedication he’s always shown.

Deeply rooted in the community, John is a lifelong volunteer firefighter and current member of the Cecil Twp Volunteer Fire Department. He also remains active in local organizations, including the Knights of Columbus, Sons of the American Legion, and the Canonsburg Elks Club.

John and his wife, Kim, are the proud parents of four and grandparents of three—and he continues to be a cornerstone of both the funeral home and the Cecil community.
