Ed Povirk is a lifelong resident of Cecil Township and a dedicated member of the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services team. Ed brings a calm, respectful presence to every service he assists with.

Before joining the funeral home, Ed served the community for over three decades as a police officer—starting with the Cecil Township Police Department and retiring after 29 years with the Scott Township Police. His commitment to public service runs deep. Since 1970, Ed has been an active member of the Cecil Township Volunteer Fire Department, where he continues to serve to this day.

Ed is a member of Corpus Christi Parish and a familiar face at St. Mary’s Church in Cecil. Outside of work, he enjoys following all Pittsburgh sports teams and shares a special bond with his daughter, Kristin—regularly attending Pirates games together.

Ed’s years of service, strong community ties, and kind heart make him a valued and trusted part of the Coleman-Taylor team.
