Paul Raymond Pivac

Paul Raymond Pivac, 69 years old of Cecil Township, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 in Allegheny General Hospital.

 

He was born January 10, 1953 in Canonsburg, son of the late Paul E. and Anna Mae Roman Pivac.

 

He was a Life Member of Cecil #3 Vol. Fire Company, where he held many offices including President and Fire Chief, and a member of Washington County Firemen's Association. He was a former Emergency Management Coordinator for Cecil Township.

 

Paul loved the fire department and enjoyed the friendly Water Battle competitions. He used the water battles to fund a Scholarship to help high scholars going on the public service. He was selected as the Pennsylvania American Legion Fireman of the Year in 2016. Paul was an Eagle Scout and former scout leader. He was a member of the Sons of the Cecil American Legion. He enjoyed Camping and coaching the children's soccer games.

 

He worked as a truck driver and retired as the dispatcher for Silhol Builders Supply, Bridgeville.

 

Surviving are his wife, Laurie Dufresne Pivac of Cecil Township, sons, Joshua (Kim) Pivac of Suffolk, VA, Derek (Jenah) Pivac of Cecil, and Brady Pivac and (companion Tyler Overbaugh) of Denver, CO, grandchildren, Kinley, Belle, Felix Pivac, and a sister, Bernadette Harris of Huntsville, AL.

 

Friends will be received Saturday, June 18, from 6-8 PM and Sunday, June 19, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA. where services will be held on Monday, June 20, at 10:00 AM with Pastor David Perry, officiating. A fireman's Funeral service will be held Sunday at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.

 

Interment will follow in the Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, Pa.
