Mary Catherine Carnahan

Mary Catherine Carnahan, 84 years old of Tionesta, formerly of South Fayette, died April 12, 2024 in Titusville Area Hospital.

She was born July 6, 1939 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Zelinski Godfrey, Sr. Mary was a cook at the Guild for the Blind for many years, she always kept busy with other small jobs and was still working as a day sitter to help those in need. She attended Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary Church, Cecil. Mary enjoyed cooking, traveling to Georgia to see family and trips to the Salamanca Casino. She was a hard working and loving mom. 

Surviving are husband Richard Carnahan of Tionesta; daughters Marcia Berteotti and Dave Jankowski of Carnegie; Lisa (Bill) Bottorff of South Fayette,and a son Joseph Spears of Carnegie, grandchildren, William Berteotti of Scott Twp.; Jennifer (Alex) Koter of Canonsburg; James Berteotti of Bridgeville, Sarah (Dipesh) Patel of Peters Twp.; and Michael Spears of Carnegie, three great grandsons, Dhiren, Mason, and Brady, and a sister, Patricia Brooks of Milledgeville, Ga. and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers Louis Jr., Leonard, Richard, and Joseph Godfrey.

Friends will be received 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM, Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church 10 St Mary Lane, Cecil. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
