Anna Rose O'Rourke

Anna Rose O'Rourke, 86 years old of Cecil Township, died January 31, 2024 in Allegheny General Hospital. 

 She was born November 5, 1937 in Cecil, Daughter of the late Hugh S. and Anna Margaret Lyons O'Rourke.

 Anna was an aide and secretary at Woodville State Hospital in Bridgeville, after retirement she worked as and aide at Country Meadows and Chartiers RTP. She was election constable in Cecil for many years. She enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame Football, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for helping people and organization in the community when asked.

 She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St Mary Church, Cecil where she assisted with the Lenten Fish Fry. She was on the executive board at Woodville State Hospital.

 Surviving are daughter Kelli McCabe of Cecil; grandchildren Braden Higgins and Blake Higgins of Cecil; Clairine McCabe and Steven McCabe of Pittsburgh, and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by parents, 5 brothers, John, James, Joseph, Hugh, and Thomas O'Rourke and a sister, Margaret Wharton.
