Ray Barnhart

Ray Henry Andrew Barnhart, 77 years old of Cecil, Pennsylvania, died May 8, 2024 in South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, Canonsburg.

 He was born January 26, 1947 in Mingo Junction, OH, son of the late Ray and Nellie Martin Barnhart, Sr.

 Ray was a staff sergeant in the US Army as a military policema, after discharge became a Hanover Twp. Police Officer for years, then was a truck driver for Starvaggi Industries, in Weirton. He was a hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed camping and watching game shows.

 Surviving are two brothers, Eugene 'Gene' (Mary 'Becky') Barnhart of Washington; Charles (Melinda Marshall) Barnhart of Smithfield, OH; a sister, Lind Jones of Avella, nieces, Becky Barnhart of Washington; Michelle (Tom) Cowden of Avella, nephews, James (Veronica) Jones of Wheeling, Joseph Barnhart of Wintersville, OH; step-daughter Laurie (Joe) Slovik of Cecil; grandchildren Alayna (Ben) Koslow of Brookline; and Tyler Slovik of Cecil; great-grandchild Nora and Theo Koslow.  

 He was preceded in death by parents, his wife in 2023, Christine Barnhart.

 Friends will be received Monday, May 13, 2024 from 5-7 PM in the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil where funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM.

 Inurnment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday May 16, 2024 at 10:30 AM all attending please meet at the cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the Canonsburg VFW 191 and the US Army.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests Memorial donations be made to Venice Presbyterian Church 3694 Millers Run Rd, McDonald, PA 15057 or South Canonsburg Church 12 S Central Ave, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
