Guy Angelo Altieri, Jr., 92, of Cecil, died Friday, July 30, 2021, in his home, surrounded by his family.
           He was born April 12, 1929, in Cecil, a son of the late Guy Altieri and Beatrice Volpe Altieri.
           Mr. Altieri served in the Army during the Korean War.  For 43 years he worked for Universal Cyclops in Bridgeville, where he served as the union president for 10 years.
           He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cecil, the Muse Italian Club, and VFW 191 in Canonsburg, and a life member of American Legion Post 793 in Cecil. He had also been active in Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR).
           Mr. Altieri enjoyed bowling, especially in the Altieri Family League, and loved golfing, collecting postcards from family members, and hunting with his brothers, father, son, brothers-in-law, and nephews at the family hunting camp near Marienville.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and taking pictures at every family event.  One of his most favorite events was the Altieri Family Reunion, of which he was one of the original organizers.
          Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Mary Simonelli Altieri; a daughter, Donna Astuto (Rodney) of Cecil; a son, James R. Altieri (Michele) of Washington; three granddaughters, Alayna Astuto Rode (Jordan), Amanda Altieri Hoskins (Devon), and Melissa Altieri, all of Washington; a great-granddaughter, Devi Hoskins; a brother, Sylvan Altieri (Sandy) of Bethel Park; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
            Deceased are two sons, Guy A. Altieri III and Bradley Altieri; two sisters, Mary Rettinger and Velia Johnston; and five brothers, Maneric, Alvin, Sylvan, Onoreno “Reno” and Anthony “Tony” Altieri.
          Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 4th in St. Mary’s Church, Cecil.  Burial will follow in Venice Cemetery.
