   Brian William Neel, 47, died April 3, 2021 in his South Fayette home.

   The son of Janet Valent Neel Kennedy and the late William Neel, Brian was born on September 18, 1973 in Pittsburgh.

   Brian was a proud trophy husband and father.  As an active member of the South Fayette Community Baseball Board, he enjoyed coaching his children’s softball and baseball teams where he was a coach and friend to all. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and eating, and target shooting. Brian was also a proud Marine Corporal and served in both Bosnia and Somalia.

   Brian graduated Cum Laude from Robert Morris University where he earned a Master’s Degree while working and raising a family. He most recently worked for USG Insurance Services Inc. as a software developer and formerly worked for Aetna Insurance (Cranberry) where he had many work wives.

   Brian is survived by his wife, Rebecca Schellhaas Neel, and their three beautiful children; Emma, Abigail, and William. Brian also leaves behind his mother, Janet (Flynt) Kennedy of Hickory; sisters, Lisa (Jimmy) Vaughn of South Park and Jennifer (Keith) Schiedenhelm of Canonsburg; an aunt, Karen Hrapczak of South Fayette; Uncle and Godparents, Vince and Dorothy Valent of McDonald; and father and mother-in-law, Michael and Darlene Schellhaas of Castle Shannon.

   He was preceded in death by his father William Neel; maternal grandparents, Vincent Valent and Stella Calfo; and paternal grandparents, Howard and Hilda Neel.

   Friends will be received Wednesday, April 7 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Rd, Cecil, PA.  Services will be held at the same location at 9:30 on Thursday, April 8.
